Overview:
The SAILOR HC4500B is a rugged, reliable maritime radio with built-in DSC (Digital Selective Calling) functionality built to withstand the harshest conditions that may be encountered at sea. Its compact, waterproof case design allows a simplified installation on all kinds of boats, from small fishing boats working under all climatic conditions, to the biggest vessels.
The HC4500 MF / HF is a part of the modular system 4000 which also includes a HF single sideband radiotelephone. It has built-in MF / HF telex if connected to a PC and/or a printer. If connected to a GPS or other maritime navigation system it can automatically include the true UTC time and your position in its DSC distress messages.
The MF/HF set is armed with two receivers. One for watch on the distress frequencies and the other on public DSC frequencies, also known as watch frequencies. The transceiver module is equipped with integrated DSC, along with fully complying with the relevant GMDSS safety requirements it also provides excellent standards for compactness, reliability and versatility.
The GMDSS Radiotelex Terminal is used for the transmission/reception of telex messages over radio. The terminals include a printer and a keyboard, all the terminals can be easily connected to control unit, which provides the interface to the DSC/telex modem located in the transceiver unit.
